Books I’m Looking Forward to Reading

I’m getting behind in my reading, but I thought I’d share some books that I can’t wait to dive into. Here they are in no particular order:

Wild Cards (Wild Cards, #1)

After getting kicked out of boarding school, bad boy Derek Fitzpatrick has no choice but to live with his ditzy stepmother while his military dad is deployed. Things quickly go from bad to worse when he finds out she plans to move them back to her childhood home in Illinois. Derek’s counting the days before he can be on his own, and the last thing he needs is to get involved with someone else’s family drama.

Ashtyn Parker knows one thing for certain–people you care about leave without a backward glance. A football scholarship would finally give her the chance to leave. So she pours everything into winning a state championship, until her boyfriend and star quarterback betrays them all by joining their rival team. Ashtyn needs a new game plan, but it requires trusting Derek—someone she barely knows, someone born to break the rules. Is she willing to put her heart on the line to try and win it all?

*I couldn’t hold off on this one. I read it as soon as I finished writing this post. Review to come. 🙂

No Strings Attached (Falling for You, #1)

She wants one night. He wants her forever.

Hayden Summers just landed the job of a lifetime taking pictures for Timemagazine, but she’s determined to leave with no regrets. The first thing on her list? Erase the memory of her cheating ex with a wild night of anonymous sex. The second? Figure out why her best friend, sexy bar owner Jace Jennings, stopped speaking to her the night she told him about the job.

Jace has a problem. Hayden isn’t just leaving the country, she’s risking herlife—just when he’s realized he’s in love with her. When fate traps them in the storage room of his bar together, barely contained desire simmers to surface. In one last attempt to keep her, Jace offers Hayden the one thing she wants: a night of hot sex, no strings attached. But when the night is over, will Jace be able to let her go? And will Hayden leave with her heart intact?

Second Chance Boyfriend (Drew + Fable, #2)

Lost. That one single word best describes my life at this very moment. I lost the last games of the season and both my team and my coach blame me. I lost the last two months because I drowned in my own despair like a complete loser. And I lost the only girl who ever mattered because I was afraid being with me would destroy her.

But now I realize how truly lost I am without her. She has become my story…and even though she acts like she’s moved on, I know she still thinks about me just as much as I think about her. She’s beautiful, sweet—and so damn vulnerable, all I want to do is help her. Be there for her.

Love her…

If only I could convince Fable to give me a second chance. Then I wouldn’t feel so lost anymore, and neither would she. We could be found together.

Forever.

There are plenty of others, but these are topping my TBR pile. What’s on your list?

  1. Nice list! The books on my list, in no particular order, and subject to change: Blood of Elves by Andrzey Sapkowski, Nevidbog (a short story collection based on Slavic and other mythology), The Year of the Flood by Margaret Atwood, New Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko… And many others, of course. 🙂
