Novelette & Short Story

Take a Picture is a fun New Adult read about Troy, who becomes one of the dreaded paparazzi. But he isn’t impressing his boss and is given the task of getting a great picture of Ashlyn Sunshine. The only problem is that Troy likes Ashlyn and doesn’t really want to get this picture, even though he needs the money. He and Ashlyn wind up spending time together and they really click. (Ban pun, sorry!) I won’t tell you if he gets his picture or not, but I will say that I liked the dynamic between Troy and Ashlyn and read this story very quickly.

This ebook also includes Chain Reaction, the prequel to Haunting Joy. I read Haunting Joy and really enjoyed it. This prequel reads much younger to me though. I found it a little odd that a New Adult story was paired with a story about kids in junior high, but I did enjoy both. Chain Reaction is about a chain letter that goes horribly wrong. I found it fun to read and liked how it tied into the events that would become Haunting Joy.

Overall, both stories were very quick reads that I found fun and entertaining.
